OSUSTECH moves to permanent site

Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH) , Okitipupa ,Ondo State has made a history by being the first public university in the country to have officially moved to its permanent site within the period of two years after taken off at the temporary site.
OSUSTECH which commenced academic activities at its temporary site two years ago at Idepe, Okitipupa with less than 100 students, in just two years after operation moved to its main campus, KM 6, along Igbokode road, Okitipupa.
The new Provost of the Federal College of Education, Prof. Abdul-mumin Sa’ad, Yola, Adamawa State, spoke with some selected journalists on the need for the institution to run degree programmes. He also throws more light on some of the challenges facing colleges of education, and the need for more fundings, clement ekong was there.
Elugbadebo Felix Adeyinka, popularly known as ‘Felicity’ is a 400 level student of the faculty of law (OAU). He is the outgoing Publicity director for Magna Curia Chambers, one of the chambers in the faculty. He also headed the subcommittee for screening of freshmen in law this year. From his wealth of experience, he bares his mind on what he feels strongly about- True democracy, and transparency in governance. Adebayo Caleb (300 level Law) of Obafemi Awolowo University met him.
Ten years ago when an Italian based humanitarian group, Opera Don Bonifacio Azione Verde visited Nigeria in the course of their charity campaign they passed through Imo state, where the people of Amaju and Umuduruozu in Amaigbo, Nwangele Council area , offered them a large expanse of land for settlement in appreciation of their multifarious humanitarian services.
The pioneer students of the Lagos State University School of Transport (LASUSOT) who were sponsored by the Lagos State Government to United States have returned filled with knowledge. The state government, in a bid to train professionals, sponsored the students to abroad to be exposed to what is obtainable in a developed country so as to solve transport problem in the state. 
The Minister of State for Education, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has restatedthe determination of the Federal Government to transform the basiceducation system to international standard. He made this known in his address at the South –South Zonal flag-offceremony for the distribution of Federal Government Assisted Textbooksand library resource materials held at St. Michael’s African PrimarySchool, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State recently.According to him, the Jonathan-led government is unrelenting in hereffort to ensure that basic education in public schools remaincompulsory, free and qualitative as it is at this level that criticalvalues for nation building are introduced into the minds of children.
