The frenzy around the premises of The Apostolic Church Students’ Fellowship of Nigeria (TACSFON), Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) Chapter was great as the fellowship celebrates brethren who were in their final year.
This is coming few weeks after the chapter hosted the zonal prayer conference. The weekend which spans a period of three days witnessed activities, which include football match and the thanksgiving on Sunday.
According to the coordinator of the Final Year Brethren (FYB) in the fellowship, Ogunleye Ebenezer, Philosophy, disclosed that the motto for the year is “Solution to Generation”.
Reading the text from Isaiah 58:12, the guest Minister, Pastor Oyebode from the Great Light Mission (GLM), charged the students, saying, “God is the source of all solution, yours is to connect with Him”. He further listed ways to be solution to include, staying locked into Christ, Wisdom and Power of God.
The students recount their experience in the course of their stay on campus and gave God the Glory for success in the journey towards greatness. They however offered sacrifices of hymns, thanks and dance unto the Lord.
Adu Oluwakemi expressed appreciation to God for saving her from fatal accident that would have destroyed her destiny even as Ojo Steven recalled how he was rescued from death. Fanimokun Ifeoluwa and Aro Temitope shared testimony of God’s faithfulness upon their lives.
Speaking after the event Odetola Olusheye said, “Indeed we are the solution the world is waiting for, solution to generations”.
The students were further celebrated by students who will be left behind when they left as some could not hold back the tears that roll down their cheek even as some expressed theirs in poetry.
The Sisters’ coordinator in the fellowship, Adegboye Oluwaseun said, “We are all going to miss them because they have made impact in the fellowship”.
The President of the fellowship, Fagbemi Kehinde expressed his joy and happiness via a text message sent to some of the brethren. The message reads in part, “meeting you in a time like this is a privilege but unfortunate we will soon part in flesh. I pray for God to lead you aright and to find favour in all facet of life”.
The coordinator of the FYb, Ogunleye Ebenezer expressed gladness, charging the new Final Year Brethren to keep serving God and make hay while the Sun shines”.
The event was well attended by alumni of the fellowship who came to rejoice with the next set of graduate the fellowship is producing, as well as the Patron of the fellowship, Elder Ademola.
Highlight of the event include dancing, rendition and presentation of gift to the graduating students.
The brethren sang the fellowship’s family song to mark their departure.
