It is not unusual to have pressure groups within a democratic setting as democracy survives and thrives through the conscientisation and mobilization of opinion.
There had been justifiable outrage and outpouring of anguish since last Saturday when the news broke that almost 200 lives were lost, several hundreds declared missing or displaced with over 2000 houses razed to the ground at Baga in Borno state, North East, Nigeria .
The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) is the statutory organ for the regulation of broadcasting in the country and its functions include ensuring that the airwaves are not polluted by odious programmes and indecent remarks. 
Forceful abduction which is commonly called kidnappin in Nigeria has assumed a most dangerous and reckless proportion. The dastardly practice has become one of the greatest challenges confronting the Jonathan-led administration.
